you know you're having kpop night concert hangover when you:
1)find yourself humming to pare and other songs sung during the concert
2)find yourself wondering when the next concert will be
3)mishear chilli as GD.
omg. how am i supposed to study ss like that?

kpop night concert yesterday!
the lineup: ft island, daeguknamah(the boss), ze:a, infinite, shinee, snsd, big bang (performed in that order).
ft island - started off with a blast by performing bing bing bing and making the crowd go wild. followed up with pare(Hope) making everyone scream and sing along. thereafter they sang sarang x3 and flower rock. awesome performance by the group with the live band making the music so much more intense and the lead singer(lee hong ki) sounded pretty much the same as his cds except for some of the really high notes when he went a little flat. one of the two performances that i thoroughly enjoyed that night.
daeguknamah(the boss) - honestly speaking, i've never heard of the group until the concert was organised. didn't really love the songs that i heard on youtube either. but surprisingly their performance wasn't half bad. although it wasn't as infectious a performance as ft island's, it was rather pleasant. performed 3 songs.
ze:a - they performed 3 songs. but i kinda got bored by their songs but their performance(dance-wise and stage presence wise) wasn't bad. oh and i'm really glad they didn't wear that lion-dance-lookalike 宣传服 that they wore while performing on music bank earlier this year. it made it a lot easier on the eyes. haha.
infinite - come back again was a hit with the audience as was she's back. they put up a pretty good performance. like ze:a, they also performed 3 songs.
shinee - here's where the chaos ensues. EVERYONE started standing at this point in time. and by standing, i don't mean standing on the floor. THEY WERE STANDING ON THE CHAIRS. cat 1 and 2 alike. even those people that were really far in front. as a result, i only caught glimpses of onew and taemin and didn't get to see key or minho at all unless u count the images from the screen. i blame my height( or the lack of it). should have worn wedges i guess. but i was actually a bit disappointed by their performance. you could tell that both the audience and shinee themselves missed jonghyun: the audience by the screams and stuff when they said that he couldn't come over because of an injury, and the shinee members themselves when they performed. they obviously had too much to handle with all the dancing and singing plus splitting the missing member's (who by the way is the LEAD SINGER) part among themselves. wasn't a very good attempt at it though: there were parts of the song that couldn't really be heard. and they went sharp. anyway, they sang replay, ring ding dong, lucifer and hello (in that order). wished that everyone was there though: i've heard watched much better performances from them.
snsd(girl's generation) - sang genie, oh!, run devil run, and gee. again, couldn't really see much. this time the fanboys went into action. suddenly the pitch of the cheers became much much lower. lol. they sang along with them during genie, oh!(don't ask me how that works, it sounds weird to me for a guy to be singing about 'oppa' lol) and gee. they did a cliffhanger thing at the end of their performance for run devil run: the lights went out and nobody came on. and the crowd started chanting (yes you guessed it): "gee! gee! gee!...." the lights then came on again with the start of gee sounding, along with the cheers from the audience. and the gee-ing ensued...
big bang - as i expected, the last performer of the night. the entire hall went crazy EVEN BEFORE THEY CAME OUT. screams, shouting, squealing, you name it they do it. i marvel at the toughness of these people's voiceboxes: if i did that i probably wouldn't be able to talk for a week. anyway, they performed gara gara go, number 1, haru haru, last farewell, lies, how gee and hands up. yes. a whopping SEVEN songs. totally unexpected - but welcome - for me. haha. their performance was great as usual, with the atmosphere at an all time high during the entire duration of the concert. and they're yet another group that sounds pretty much like the cd (not in the lipsync-ing way though. it's pretty obvious they aren't cuz they added parts in that weren't in the original recording and took out some parts that were in it). one of my only 2 complaints is that because all the fans were extremely enthusiastic about the performance, everyone was standing/tip-toeing and yours truly couldn't see much.the fact that i saw more of their performance than shinee's is a consolation i guess. oh and for big bang fans who were wondering, GD, taeyang and top were wearing sunglasses (but top took them off halfway). oh and they also did an snsd by turning off the lights after lies. at which point in time the audience took the cue to shout encore. hence the performance of how gee and hands up.
my 2nd complaint would be the girl standing beside me, who practically went completely hysterical when big bang came out. okay, i know you're a fan of big bang, i know you are really excited about them coming, i know you're so excited that you just have to let it out in some way (ie screaming), fine. but intermittent screaming/squealing/shouting that persists throughout 7 songs with an approximate 5-10secs interval in between sounds is kinda overdoing it don't you think? and her sounds are of eardrum-splitting quality. the only thing i'm grateful for is that there weren't more people like her around us. and i got to see them all anyway even though it was for pretty short intervals (again, remind me to wear wedges or bring a periscope next time) so i guess i should be grateful for that.
overall, it was a pretty good night:)
but now i really wanna watch a big bang concert and an ft island concert. lol.

有得的,就必有失的。
but i seriously don't understand why it's so easy for others and so difficult for me.
for others, it's just a case of saving up, getting the tickets and telling the relevant authorities.
but for me, it's a case of saving up, sneaking out to get the tickets, thinking of ways and means to get my excursion permit, making multiple attempts to do so, getting my dignity trampled all over, and personality smeared in the process.
fake diplomacies are a pain in the ass.
but i will hold it in.
for the next 24 hours at least.

listening to xfm now.
daesung's try smiling just reminded me of why i allowed bigbang into my life.
hasn't been that gd a day for me though. got out of the house late, forgot hp and ezlink and didn't have time to go back for them. which was really inconvenient for me the whole day cuz i had to pay for my transport in cash (which we all know is more ex on our dear sunny island) and i couldnt contact people.
furthermore, i spilt almost everything i could while doing chem lab. 2%NaOH, acetone, ethanol etc. the only thing i didnt spill was the conc. HCl, which was lucky cuz i would be in big trouble if i did.
midterms results aren't up to my expectations. so i guess it's time to buck up.
okay i'm off.

one week after crazy week.
the peace of mind coming from not having to rush to study and revise everything within the given timeframe is much appreciated. but when u're already lagging behind stuff, u won't be able to appreciate it that much. and currently that's the situation i'm in.
SS - readings lagging
FA - forgot about stuff about uncollectibles
CM - where have they taught until??
xx01 - i can't visualize!!
xx02 - ?!?!
lol. pretty screwed up. BUT i still found the time to go for badminton session with the mse ppl yesterday after lecture. 3 hrs of badminton (okay 2+ hrs since we went to send ruth to mount 32) = good workout. playing against claudia = best workout. woke up this morning with muscle aches. haha. but it was quite a lot of fun though.
sharing session after that was pretty entertaining too. especially the part after the dinner. learnt quite a lot about the SEP/VIP/IA programmes and chatted with some ppl after the session before going off.
xx01 midterms on monday. i should be studying. not to mention ss is piling up again. sigh.
okay signing off.

There's only so much I can take.
My tolerance level has a limit.
Currently it's reaching breaking point.
Seriously, who the hell stepped on your eff-ing tail? Because at the way you are venting your anger on us, it looks like whoever did it actually severed it off, hence multiplying your anger by a factor of infinity. Thus the seriousness and the utter acidity of the scolding today.
Bear this in mind though: What goes around comes around. When push comes to shove, the consequences of your actions will be apparent. You've been warned.
The flipside of love isn't hate: It's indifference.

had 3 tests this week. thermodynamics, chemistry, accounting.
chemistry - have no idea how this will turn out. spent about 1 day studying? haha. hopefully doesn't turn out that bad.
thermodynamics - ultimate gg. looked at the paper and knew i was done for. tried my best to finish as much as i can. no blanks but still gonna fail anyway. :I
accounting - the best paper so far (from what i can tell). had extra time left over to check which was obviously more than welcome. especially since i haven't had that experience since i entered uni :X
went out with alvina after accounting. nice to see her after such a long time. spent quite a while window shopping and talking. it was a good day:)
